The Military Families Program (MFP) welcomes Medal of Honor Recipient and New York Times bestselling author Clint Romesha to its leadership ranks. Romesha will serve as a board member for the 501(c)3 nonprofit that is dedicated to creating and developing new strategies to work with the military community.

Romesha received the Medal of Honor for his heroism Oct. 3, 2009. Romesha led the charge to retake a remote Army outpost from insurgents who were superior in force and firepower. Romesha chronicled the battle in his book, “Red Platoon: A True Story of American Valor.” His actions were also portrayed by actor Scott Eastwood for the feature-length film, The Outpost.
